All our swimwear, swim shoes, and sun hats protect your child with UPF50+, which stands for "Ultraviolet Protection Factor". The protection is integrated into the fabric, which is woven extra tightly. This means that for every 50 rays that hit the fabric, only 1 penetrates, thus protecting against 98% of the sun's rays. Choose UV suits for the very youngest

The very youngest children are extra vulnerable to the sun and require extra sun protection. We recommend a UV suit if you are going to be outdoors in the sun. It covers more of the body and thus provides better protection. However, UV suits are not just for the youngest but can also be a good choice for older children. For example, it's a good choice if you're going south where the sun is stronger than in Denmark. Or if you have a real water baby who is always in the water. Water reflects the sun's rays, and most sunscreens are washed off if you spend a lot of time in the water.

Shade, sun hat, and sunscreen

Sun, beach, and sandcastles are wonderful, but it's important to protect children's skin from the sun's rays. The Danish Cancer Society recommends the three S's: shade, sun hat, and sunscreen – but they also recommend UV swimwear. Remember to apply sunscreen to children, as the clothing does not cover the entire body, and exposed areas risk getting sunburned.
